One last thing before you start

Put Revodics in your Chrome.

Revodics works inside your browser. It watches X while you scroll, learns which account you are on, and tells you what to post and who to reply to. It never posts for you. This takes about two minutes, once.

  1. 1Get the extensionStore or file
  2. 2Connect itClick I agree
  3. 3Open XWe spot your account
Waiting for the extensionAdd it with one of the options below. This page notices by itself, so there is nothing to copy or paste.

Option A · easiest

Chrome Web Store

One click, and Chrome keeps the extension up to date for you.

Add to Chrome

Our store listing is going live soon. If that page says it can't be found, use Option B. It works today.

  • Updates itself
  • No developer mode
  • Then jump to connect it

Option B · works right now

Install from a folder (Early Testers Only!)

Until the store listing is live, Chrome adds an extension from a folder on your computer. It's a few more clicks than the store, you only do it once, and every click is shown below.

I'm on
  1. Download the zip

This is the whole extension in one zip file. You don't open it in Chrome.

    Download RevodicsThe Revodics extension
  2. Unzip it and give the folder a home

Open your Downloads folder, right-click revodics-extension.zip and choose Extract All…, then Extract. A folder called revodics-extension appears.

Move that folder somewhere it can stay, such as Documents. Chrome runs the extension straight from this folder, so if it is moved or deleted later, Revodics stops working.

  3. Open Chrome’s extensions page

Chrome doesn't let websites open this page for you, so copy the address, open a new tab, paste it in the address bar and press Enter.

    chrome://extensions

On Edge use edge://extensions, on Brave brave://extensions.

  4. Switch on Developer mode

Top right of that page there is a switch called Developer mode. Turn it on. This is what lets Chrome add an extension from a folder. Leave it on.

  5. Click “Load unpacked” and choose the folder

With Developer mode on, three buttons appear top left. Click Load unpacked. A file window opens.

Go to where you put revodics-extension, click that folder once so it is highlighted, then click Select Folder. Pick the folder itself, don't go inside it.

Revodics now shows up as a card on the page, with its switch on.

Chrome says “Manifest file is missing or unreadable”?

You picked a folder one level too high or too low. Choose the folder that has manifest.json directly inside it. That is revodics-extension.

  6. Pin it to your toolbar

Click the puzzle icon next to Chrome's address bar, find Revodics and click the pin. Now the icon is always one click away.

  7. Say yes, and it connects itself

The first time you add it, Revodics opens a short page that says exactly what it does with your data. Read it and click I agree. There is nothing to copy or paste: because you are signed in here, the extension connects to your account by itself and the page says Connected.

You are not signed in here. Sign in first, in this same Chrome, and the extension picks it up.

  8. Open X and let it find you

Go to x.com in this same Chrome, signed in to the X account you want to grow. Revodics spots your handle by itself. Watch the bar at the top of this page.

Stuck? Start here.

I switched everything on but no account shows up

Check that you are on x.com (not an older twitter.com address) and signed in to X. Reload the X tab once, then give it ten seconds. Click the Revodics icon: its page should say Connected as your email. If it asks you to sign in, sign in on this site in the same Chrome and it connects by itself.

The Revodics page doesn't say “Connected”

It connects when you are signed in to this website in the same Chrome profile where you added the extension. Sign in here, wait a few seconds, and the page updates by itself. Using a different Chrome profile or browser than the one you added it to is the usual cause.

Revodics disappeared, or its card says “Error”

Chrome reads the extension from the folder you chose. If that folder was moved, renamed or deleted, put it back where it was and click the reload arrow on the Revodics card. Or run Load unpacked again and choose it from its new place.

How do I update the extension?

Download the new zip from this page, unzip it into the same folder and replace the old files. Then open chrome://extensions and click the circular reload arrow on the Revodics card. Your connection stays.

Chrome shows “Disable developer mode extensions” when it starts

Chrome shows this for any extension added outside the store. Choose Cancel to keep Revodics on. The Web Store version, once it is live, doesn't have this.

Which browsers work?

Chrome 116 or newer, and other Chromium browsers such as Edge, Brave, Arc and Opera. Safari and Firefox are not supported yet.

Is it safe?

The extension only reads what you see on X and sends it to your Revodics account. It never posts, likes or follows for you. You can remove it any time from chrome://extensions, and disconnect it any time by clicking its icon and choosing Withdraw.
